Kellie Sloane is your Liberal Member for Vaucluse.

I’m Kellie Sloane, your local member for Vaucluse and the NSW Opposition Leader.

I’m proud to represent our community in Parliament, where I bring a mix of professional and real-life experience. My husband Adam and I are raising our three teenage boys locally, and before politics, I had two careers I loved — first as a journalist across major networks, including 14 years at Channel 9 covering breaking news here and overseas, and later in the NFP sector, including my role as National CEO of Life Ed (Healthy Harold), helping Aussie kids make safer, healthier choices for their futures.

My focus as your MP is to represent everyone equitably, whether young, old, born and raised locally or, like the majority of those in my electorate, have come from somewhere else and have chosen our amazing electorate as home.

The most important job I can do for you is to remove barriers to your individual success. The job of governments should be to give you the tools to be successful and then to get out of your way!

That’s what Liberals strive to do.

The issues will change over time, but my values will not. I believe in freedom of worship, thought, expression and choice. I believe in leaving our planet in better shape for future generations.

I believe in a strong education system that provides choice – and teaches critical thinking, not what to think. We need to remove politics from the classroom and focus on our declining education standards.

I believe in an inclusive and diverse community where everyone feels safe. I will speak up when I see those rights being breached.

My promise is that I will strive to make our electorate a better place for future generations. Let’s make a difference together.

Please reach out to me or my office if you ever want to share your priorities or concerns.

My Priorities

As your State Member of parliament, I am here for...

Protecting the character of our community

Our electorate is unique - with significant natural, cultural and modern heritage combining with one of the highest population densities in NSW. But with limited public transport and infrastructure, it’s critical we have a balanced approach to development.

1

Preserving and enhancing our local environment

We’re blessed with stunning beaches, parks and reserves which must be managed and preserved for future generations. I am also a big supporter of local environmental initiatives such as recycling and waste reduction programs.

2

Supporting families and businesses during cost-of-living crisis

With 43% of our community in rental properties, I know that rising rents, energy prices and inflaton are really hurting. The same is happening for families trying to manage a mortgage. I will continue to champion targeted relief measures.
