Watsons Bay Wharf and Darling Point Wharf Update
Published 20 February 2024
A number of constituents have contacted me regarding the status of the Darling Point Wharf and Watsons Bay Wharf Upgrades. Before the election, the Minns Labor Government committed to accelerating these accessibility upgrades. Since then, we have heard nothing.
Last week I wrote to the Minister requesting a briefing on both upgrades to understand when they will begin. I will not let these important upgrades be ignored. Please see my Letter to the Minister below:

Dear Minister
RE: WHARF UPGRADES
A number of constituents have contacted me, regarding the status of the Darling Point Wharf and Watsons Bay Wharf accessibility upgrades.
As you would be aware, it has been over a year since consultation ended on the Watsons Bay Wharf upgrade and my community has heard no further updates from Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW). Consulting the community and then failing to provide any updates on the project for over a year is unacceptable.
Further to this, the Darling Point Wharf upgrade was due to commence in 2023. I understand this was delayed to not have Double Bay wharf and Darling Point closed for construction at the same time. Given that Double Bay wharf has now re-opened, I would appreciate your advice on when construction will commence at Darling Point.
The NSW Government announced before the election that it was committed to accelerating accessibility upgrades at public transport sites. I would welcome a briefing from TfNSW on the status of these two upgrades.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
