Speech - Men's Health Public Interest Debate
Thank you Mr Speaker, I move: That this house – Notes 50% of deaths in males aged under 75 are potentially avoidable through earlier intervention, improved access to healthcare and lifestyle support. Notes over 75% of deaths by suicide in NSW are men and suicide remains the leading cause of death for men aged 15-44. Acknowledges that the barriers men and boys face in accessing physical and mental health supports represent a serious public health challenge for the over four million men and boys living in NSW.

Opposition Leader Kellie Sloane has revealed her blood boiled when Premier Chris Minns accused the Liberal Party of blocking a bill aimed at dealing with e-bikes. Sloane has told Clinton Maynard that Minns attempted to breach due process. “Then they say we’re blocking it, we said no, we’re very happy to debate it,” she said. She’s also taken aim at what she says is a lack of leadership from Minns regarding a pro-Palestine meeting due to be held at a council-owned building.

Abortion Law Reform - Access Bill

Bondi Shark Nets
The NSW Government is considering giving coastal councils the choice to remove shark nets in 2025. Since this announcement, I've had a lot of feedback from our local community. People I surveyed were evenly split on the question of whether they should stay or whether they should go.
